What is the cost of a Uganda gorilla trekking safari?
As of 2019, foreign non-residents require US$ 600 for each gorilla permit in Uganda. Foreign residents require US$ 500 for each gorilla permit in Uganda. East African residents require UGX 250,000 for a single gorilla permit.
Effective 1st July 2020, foreign non-residents will require US$ 700 to purchase a Uganda gorilla permit. Foreign residents will require US$ 600 to buy a Uganda gorilla permit. East African Residents will still be able to purchase a gorilla permit.

Each permit is valid for individuals above 15 years of age and can be used for a single trek. Maximum of 1 hour is allowed for trekkers to be in the presence of the Mountain Gorillas.
