Why do other Afro countries seem as poor as African countries?

Why do other Afro countries seem as poor as African countries? Africa is not poor, it is just that some Africans live a different lifestyle. It’s the western media and the internet, for now, close to 100 years, have been stereotyping & portraying Africa in a wrong way.

Why don’t other Afro countries seem as poor as African countries?

African Cattle

The kids you see with no shoes, no shirts no iPhones in this particular image, whatever, but can you conclude that they are poor with such a large herd of cattle? How many people around the globe have such an enormous amount of cattle? The answer to that, very few have and most importantly they are not poor.

Ten cows can easily fetch a minimum of $10K per year, obviously the owner can easily buy them shoes, clothes & iPhones. This kind of dress code matches the weather and environmental conditions of that particular location. If someone from a western country sees these kids, he/she will look for donors for money to buy shoes and clothes, moreover, take negative images that does not help anybody and sell as news. It’s mostly driven by capitalistic agenda rather than compassion and empathy.

But I don’t blame them either, we live in a broken, fallen and evil world. Most Africans live a better life than most people in western countries, joyful, happy and content. However, Africa just like any other place around the globe has its problems, pros and cons, it’s not like the Garden of Eden where Adam & Eve first human beings used to live on earth before their downfall. Remember we live in a fallen, broken and divided world, don’t expect perfection.
