Day 1 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Entebbe / Kampala
On the arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Kampala, Imperial royale or Metropole hotel or Forest cottages (B).
Day 2 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Murchison Falls on the River Nile
After breakfast, leave Kampala driving northwest towards Murchison Falls National Park. Proceed to the Park, the largest protected area in Uganda, with 3.840 Kms, named after the falls on the Victoria Nile. Stopover at the site of the “Top of the Falls” to enjoy the marvelous falls from above. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba safari lodge (M). FB
Day 3 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – The boat cruise on the River Nile
After an early breakfast, game drive to view and take photographs of elephants, buffalos, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, lions, if you are lucky the leopards, plus a variety of bird species. After lunch at the lodge, proceed for a boat cruise along the Nile to the bottom of the mighty Murchison falls. This is an opportunity to see hippos, crocodiles along the riverbanks and many water birds. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. FB
Day 4 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – On the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon
After breakfast, drive from Murchison Falls heading Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the great Western Rift Valley. Drive through Hoima and reach Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, situated in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. Have lunch. In the afternoon you proceed to Kasenda craters then to Primate lodge or Mountain of the moons or Ataco country resort. (B). This day’s journey is long, as it takes an average of 8 hours. FB
Day 5 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
After breakfast, we shall drive to Kibale Forest National Park, for primate viewing. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. A half-day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-colobus monkeys, Blues, Red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora. After lunch, do not miss the beauty of the Kasenda Crater Lakes, which dominates all the surrounding areas with the possibility of amazing panoramic views. Dinner and overnight as above. FB
Day 6 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Pearl of Uganda
Take breakfast and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National park, checking in by lunchtime, and relax and at 3 pm go for the launch cruise along Kazinga channel. Dinner and overnight at Mweya safari lodge or Ihamba safari lodge or Bush lodge.
Day 7 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Game drive and transfer to Savannah hotel.
After a cup of coffee, with a packed breakfast go for an early morning game drive in Kasenyi trail and return for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to Ishasha jungle lodge or Savannah hotel located in the heart of Ishasha. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 8 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Ishasha game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Park
Have a game drive in search of the tree-climbing lions, have lunch en-route and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and overnight at Chameleon hill or Silverback lodge or Buhoma Community (B).
Day 9 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – The encounter with mountain gorillas
Early morning entry into the gorilla sanctuary of Bwindi Forest. The rainforest is spectacular as it is dense with its landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails that can be accessed by tourists. This park is best known for the fascinating mountain gorillas. The time is taken and terrain varies according to the movements of these primates. The thrill of spending time with and observing the gorillas is a wonderful and exciting adventure. The gorillas are shy and peaceful animals and it is an unforgettable experience watching and taking photographs of them as they interact with each other. Dinner and overnight at Chameleon hill or Silverback lodge or Buhoma Community (B).
Day 10 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda- Transfer to Rwanda
Early morning you transfer from Bwindi to Rwanda and precisely to Ruhengeri at the Volcanoes National Park. Dinner and overnight at Kinigi Guest House.
Day 11 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Golden Monkey tracking
Early morning you enter the gorilla sanctuary of Volcanoes National Park, the rain tropical forest covering the hills surrounding the five Virunga Volcanoes. It was here where biologist Dian Fossey worked until her death in 1985. The trekking is a demanding but rewarding experience. Ensure you bring with you enough water and the packed lunch. The time spent in the forest depends on the movements of the primates in their natural environment. After the activity, you transfer to Gisenyi checking in at Paradise Malahide hotel. FB
Day 12 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Scenic view and Transfer to Cyangugu
Gisenyi is a pretty town located on the shores of Lake Kivu, the main water body of Rwanda. You descend the escarpment down to the lake, with fantastic views of the Volcanoes. You will be transferred to Nyungwe with dinner and overnight at Peace Guesthouse. FB
Day 13 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Primates/ Chimp tracking in Nyungwe Forest
After an early breakfast, you enter the Nyungwe forest for the trekking in search of the numerous troops of Angolan Colobus monkeys and/or tracking the chimpanzees. Nyungwe is a vast, uncontaminated mountain rain tropical forest over 1000 sq km in size and you will be amazed by such intense, green mountain vegetation. It is home to 13 species of primates, over 275 species of birds, 100 varieties of orchids. Ensure you carry with you packed lunch and water. Return to Peace Guest House or similar for dinner and overnight. FB
Day 14 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Kigali and the culture of Rwanda
After breakfast, you will drive to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Stopover in Gikongoro for a tour of the Genocide Memorial of Murambi. Lunch in Butare, where it is possible to find the best Rwandan, original handicraft, which you cannot find in other countries of Africa. Butare hosts the biggest university and the national cultural museum, worthy to visit. Stopover in Nyanza for a tour of the royal palace of the traditional king of Rwanda, the Mwami. Arrival in Kigali for dinner and overnight at Iris guest house (B). FB

After breakfast, visit the Kigali museum memorial for the genocide victims and market for art and craft as well as Nyamata genocide tombs before transferring back to Uganda, with overnight at Arcadia Cottages.
Day 16 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda – Boat ride and Transfer towards Lake Mburo
After an early breakfast, have a two-hour boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi around the various islands for bird viewing, sightseeing Drive towards Lake Mburo National park with lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge or Mpogo lodge.
Day 17 of the 18 Days Wildlife Safaris Tour Uganda Gorilla Safari Rwanda –Game drive and Boat ride then back to Kampala
Enjoy an early morning game drive along the trails of Lake Mburo National park to see Zebras, kobs, bird species, and other attractions. Have breakfast and enjoy the boat ride along Lake Mburo National park to see hippos, birds, etc. Have lunch and transfer later on to Kampala with overnight at Imperial royale or Metropole hotel or Forest cottages (B).
