12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour
The 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour takes you to Jinja to adventure the Source of River Nile. You will then transfer to Murchison Falls National Park for a Uganda Wildlife Safari. This Uganda Safari will take you to Kibale forest national park for the Chimpanzee tracking tour in Bigodi Wetland. You will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive in the Ishasha sector for the search of tree-climbing lions, a boat cruise at the Kazinga Channel, and Chimp tracking in Kyambura Gorge.
On the 9th day, you will transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest for Mountain Gorilla tracking after which you will go to Lake Bunyonyi for a Relaxation. On the last day, you transfer back to Kampala with a Wildlife tour to Lake Mburo National park, an adventure tour at Uganda Equator, and a Cultural tour at Igongo Cultural center. The Uganda safari starts and ends in Kampala City with a Kampala City tour
Day 1 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to Kampala, Imperial royale or Metropole Hotel or Tristar Hotel. BB
Day 2 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour -The Source of the River Nile
Depart Kampala by 8.00 am; drive to Jinja the second largest town in Uganda. It is characterized by the Asian quarters, the brewery industries and the colorful gardens. Visit the Source of the Nile on Lake Victoria, the monument of Gandhi, and then proceed to the “Itanda Falls”, to view the spectacular rapids on the river Nile a few kilometers from the source. OPTIONAL: Try the unforgettable emotion of the white water rafting, which is one of the main attractions in Jinja. Day 3 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour -The marvelous Murchison Falls
Early morning, leave Jinja driving northwest to Murchison falls national park. Visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for a nature walk to see the rare rhinos in the wild. Lunch in Masindi Hotel. Proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest protected area in Uganda, with 3.840 Kms, named after the falls on the Victoria Nile.
Relax a bit at a situated site on the top of the spectacular falls, where you can see the Nile’s perfected beauty and marvel as it compresses and squeezes itself from over 1 kilometer wide down through a seven-meter canyon. The 43-meter drop of the falls creates a thunderous roar and a beautiful rainbow in a plume of spray – the best of the Nile River. Dinner and overnight at Pakuba Safari Lodge
Day 4 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – The boat cruise on the River Nile
Embark on an early morning game drive on the Northern bank where your guide will help you spot elephants, lions, cape buffalos, Rothschild’s giraffes, hartebeests, waterbucks, oribis, bushbucks, spotted hyenas and if you are lucky, leopards. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, you will safari upstream by boat to the calm Victoria Nile and the base of the falls just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron.” There you can marvel at toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over the 17-kilometer stretch, you may also see elephants, waterbucks and Uganda kobs. This is also the habitat for many bird species including goliath herons, Egyptian geese, pelican bee-eaters, kingfishers, Hombills, cormorants, and the rare shoebill stork. Return for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 5 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – Fort Portal on the shadow of the Mountains of the Moon
Transfer from Murchison Falls Southwest via the Albertine Escarpment of the Western Rift Valley. You drive through Hoima, the town of the Bunyoro kingdom, passing through the verdant countryside, tea plantations, and traditional homesteads. You reach the colorful and pretty town of Fort Portal, the capital of the Tooro kingdom, in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon,” the Rwenzori. Dinner and overnight at Mountains of the moon Hotel or Fort motel (M) or Ataco country resort( B )
Day 6 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – Chimpanzee trekking in Kibale National Park
Drive to Kibale Forest National Park after an early break, for primate viewing. The activity starts at 8.00 am in the morning. A half-day search for chimpanzees and other primates including phoestes, Red-colobuses, Blues, Red-tailed and grey-cheeked mangabeys swinging through the dense forest and birds, butterflies and many small insects. The guide will provide detailed explanations on not only primates but also on all the forest’s fauna and flora. Have lunch then proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or Ihamba or Bush lodge.FB
Day 7 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour -The boat cruise on Kazinga Channel
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, following the mystical Ruwenzori Mountain Range most of the journey. A game drive as you enter the park and you may spot waterbucks, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, spotted hyenas and a variety of antelope species. Arrive early for lunch on top of the Mweya peninsula. Enjoy the unique two-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel and into Lake Edward.
This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos and many animals may be seen drinking at the water’s edge. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching, and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colorful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Day 8 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – The tree climbing lions of Ishasha sector
Early morning transfer to Bwindi through the Ishasha sector of the Park through Maramagambo Forest. Have a midday game drive on a search for the rare tree-climbing lions which you can see only in this area of Uganda. Here lives a population of lions that enjoy resting on the fig trees when the day is warm. The landscape is an open savannah with a variety of acacia trees. Lunch en route. Proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs or Ichumbi Lodge or Buhoma Community. FB
Day 9 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – The encounter with mountains gorillas
A morning briefing from the rangers at 8.00 am before you enter the gorilla sanctuary. The thrill of your encounter will erase the difficulties of the potentially strenuous trek. Bring jungle boots and rain jackets because the park is often wet. Spend time in awe watching the gorillas go about their activities. Each encounter is different and has its own rewards, but you are likely to enjoy the close view of adults feeding, grooming and resting as the youngsters’ frolic and swing from vines in a delightfully playful display.
A recently proclaimed World Heritage site, it’s one of the most biologically diverse areas on earth and its unique, precious flora sustains roughly half of the world population of mountain gorillas – believed to number just 600. There’s also a substantial chimpanzee population and research shows that Bwindi is the only forest in Africa in which these two apes live together. Return for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 10 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – The beautiful Lake Bunyonyi
Take breakfast before making a scenic journey to Kabale through the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. An area referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Lunch at Heritage lodge, with a unique and amazing panoramic view of the Lake Bunyonyi, the deepest in Uganda. Afternoon boats ride inside the lake to various islands for bird viewing and sightseeing. Return to Birdnest or Heritage lodge or Overland for dinner and overnight,
Day 11 of the 12 Days Uganda Adventure Safaris Tour – Lake Mburo National Park
Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park, the smallest in Uganda in size. Take a game drive in search of the beautiful impalas, zebras, cape buffalos, elands, oribi, and topi. Along with the game drive, many visitors also enjoy a boat trip on Lake Mburo. The park is a very good opportunity for bird watchers, who will enjoy more than 250 species of birds found here, including Papyrus gonoleks, Brown-faced lapwings, Carruther’s cisticolas. Optional: Enjoy Horse riding in the park. Dinner and overnight at Mihingo lodge or Mpogo safari lodge. FB
